AndroidFileSync is a free, open-source macOS application that allows you to browse, transfer, and manage files and apps on your Android device over USB or WiFi using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) protocol. It is a local utility tool — all operations happen directly between your Mac and your phone.
None. Zero. AndroidFileSync does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no telemetry. Specifically:
The app stores minimal preferences locally on your Mac using standard macOS mechanisms (UserDefaults / plist files). This includes sidebar shortcuts and last-used settings. This data never leaves your device.
A local Trash folder is maintained on your Android device at /sdcard/.AndroidFileSyncTrash/ to support soft deletes and restore. This is entirely under your control.
All communication happens directly over USB or your local WiFi network using ADB. No data passes through any intermediate server. ADB tools are bundled inside the app — nothing is downloaded from the internet at runtime.
AndroidFileSync uses no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or cloud services. It is a fully self-contained native macOS application.
This app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. It is a local utility tool with no network services of any kind.
AndroidFileSync is fully open source. You can inspect every line of code at github.com/Santosh7017/AndroidFileSync to verify these claims yourself.
